This year's Parade theme is “Candy Land!” Please join us for this fun, colorful and “sweet” event!

Route

Route: East on Wright Ave, South onto Chippewa Street Parade. Please make note the parade ends when they turn onto E Maple Street. Please enjoy our parade from either Wright Ave or Chippewa Street.

Participation Information

  • Download Form

    ● The organizers of this parade reserve the right to accept or reject any parade applicant.

    ● Parade participants must follow the instructions from the parade staff.

    ● NO GAPS, you must keep up with the flow of the parade and not create any gaps ahead of you. Keep

    watch to prevent openings from forming in the parade. Keep up with the unit in front of you.

    ● Units must be ready to move from line up position at 2:30 sharp. No unloading of walking units etc.

    once the parade has begun moving.

    ● Parade staff reserve the right to remove any unit from the parade lineup for any reason or cause without

    advance notice.

    ● All entries must be properly identified with signs or banners with the name of the organization/business.

    This is not a commercial parade- please NO sales messages.

    ● Drivers of vehicles must be at least 18 years of age, have a valid driver's license, and proper insurance.

    ● Drivers must ensure they can maneuver the entry type properly and stay with the entry vehicle once it is

    placed in the lineup.

    ● A maximum of 15 walkers are permitted to walk with your entry. Walkers for groups must keep up with the

    parade flow and stay with the unit.

    ● We strongly recommend walking groups have some sort of float!

    ● CANDY AND MATERIALS: must be handed out in such a manner as to prevent spectators from entering the

    street.

    ● Adults MUST be present when children are riding floats. Children MUST remain seated at all times.

    ● Equestrian and animal units must provide their own accompanying clean-up personnel.

    ● ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES AND OTHER CONTROLLED SUBSTANCES ARE FORBIDDEN ON AND ALONG THE

    PARADE ROUTE.

    ● All parade participants are requested to conduct themselves in such a manner as not to infringe on the

    rights of those people living in and along the staging or disband areas and parade route.

    ● If cancellation is needed, please text Emily before 1:00 PM the day of the parade.

  • We believe it is important to include local involvement from non-profit organizations. In encouraging organizations to participate, this year’s committee will offer to cover the cost of float building materials to any non-profit.

  • If your business or organization is able and willing to help sponsor this event, special signage will be made showing your support.

    1) Signage will be posted all weekend along the meal line for the pancakes at the school.

    2) Signage will be carried at the beginning of the parade.

    3) Your sponsorship will also be announced during the parade.

    4) Your sponsorship will be listed on the Festival committee’s web site!
